The spreadsheet is dead.
Golf groups run three to eight simultaneous games a round across multiple formats, with custom rules and mixed handicaps. Today that's paper cards and a frantic Excel session after dinner. Rake Golf runs the whole thing — handicaps, scores, skins, quota, and a full Ryder Cup — and settles every dollar before the second pint.

Tap the box for par, minus for birdie, plus for bogey. Every game recalculates as you go, the group sees it instantly, and Nigel is watching — a run of good holes gets called out while you're still on the tee. No signal? It keeps scoring and syncs when you're back.

Pull every player's current index automatically — plus-handicaps and all — along with full course data: rating, slope, par, yardage, and the stroke index for every tee box. Half the group off the blues and half off the whites is handled per player, per tee.

A proper Ryder Cup
Name your teams, draft by handicap, and run Best Ball, Combined Ball and Singles with real match-play scoring — closeouts, halves, dormie, the lot. The pairing engine spreads partners and opponents evenly across the whole trip, and the cup is live from the first tee shot to the last putt.

Dot the cards
Print a proper pre-round card with the dots already on it — every player's strokes, hole by hole, per game. Identical allocations collapse into one marker, each with its own shape, so a black-and-white print still reads. GHIN gives you the number; this shows you where it goes.
Paper or phone
Score live on a phone, or play off the printed card and photograph it afterwards. The reader pulls every player's row, flags any cell it isn't sure about, and cross-checks against the OUT/IN/TOTAL written on the card.
Two scorers, one round
Big group split across tee times? Each group gets its own scorer link and keeps its own card. The round only locks once every group has submitted.
